Match Analysis – 05/01/2026 11:00 AM ET

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Montreal Canadiens | Canadiens ML (-105)
Montreal return home with a 3–2 series lead, momentum, and a building that will be absolutely electric, and their style has consistently given Tampa Bay problems throughout the matchup. Four of the five games have opened with a Canadiens goal, forcing the Lightning to chase — something Cooper himself admitted has been a recurring issue. Dobes has been the difference-maker, posting elite performances and outplaying Vasilevskiy, whose .880 save percentage continues to drag Tampa down. The Lightning’s stars, Kucherov and Point, have combined for just two goals in the entire series, while Montreal’s young core is playing with confidence, structure, and discipline. Every game has been tight, but Montreal have shown more composure in key moments, and home ice amplifies that edge. With the crowd behind them, better goaltending, and a matchup that has tilted their way in execution, the Canadiens hold the value on the moneyline.

Buffalo Sabres @ Boston Bruins | Bruins ML (+100)
Boston return home with momentum after the overtime win in Game 5, finally rediscovering their defensive structure and getting a locked‑in performance from Swayman, while Pastrnak’s breakthrough goal lifted the pressure off their star. Buffalo showed nerves for the first time in the series, their inexperience surfacing in a tight elimination spot, and now they must close things out in a hostile TD Garden where Boston will feed off the crowd and the chance to force a Game 7. With the Bruins stabilizing, the Sabres’ depth issues lingering, and the psychological edge shifting, Boston hold the value to extend the series.

Vegas Golden Knights @ Utah Mammoth | Over 6 (+100)
This series has turned into a chaos machine, and everything about the matchup points toward another high‑event, high‑scoring game. The last two meetings finished 5–4 in overtime and double‑overtime, and both teams continue to trade momentum swings, defensive breakdowns and late‑game rallies. Vegas have scored 108 third‑period goals this season — the most in the NHL — and they’ve mounted third‑period comebacks in all three of their wins, forcing Utah into wide‑open, frantic hockey. Utah, meanwhile, keep generating offense at home and have scored 4+ goals in three straight games, but their inability to close games has created extended minutes, extra attackers and special‑teams chaos — all of which inflate totals. With both teams confident offensively, both goaltenders under constant pressure, and the series trending toward pace and volatility, Game 6 projects as another matchup that comfortably pushes past six goals.
