Manchester United vs Liverpool Betting Tips

Jurgen Klopp's men can go three points clear on Sunday afternoon but the Reds have nearly always struggled at the home of their great rivals

It’s always a big game when Liverpool visit Old Trafford, of course, but this one carries an extra significance.

In fine form under Solskjaer, Al Hain-Cole expects the young England striker to punish the Reds for the second encounter in a row at Old Trafford

Liverpool will be hoping for a big performance from Mohamed Salah when they visit Manchester United in Sunday’s big Premier League clash.

The Egyptian is yet to score or even assist a goal in three league matches against the Red Devils, his only such record against any Premier League team he has faced more than once.

Nevertheless, he is William Hill’s 4/1 (5.00) favourite to open the scoring at Old Trafford, and priced at 6/5 (2.20) to bring his tally to 50 Premier League goals in 63 games – a record for any player at a single club.

Considering Salah’s poor record against United and the fact he has scored only once in four games, Sadio Mane may represent a more tempting bet at 17/10 (2.70) anytime odds.

The Senegal international has hit the net in each of his last four league matches, and opened the scoring in his side’s 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture.

Mane’s form is also in stark contrast to Roberto Firmino, who can be backed at 11/5 (3.20) to score for just the second time in eight fixtures.

However, the most in-form player can be found at the other end of the pitch, where Marcus Rashford has been on target in six of his eight league appearances since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took command.

Having scored twice the last time this pair met at Old Trafford, the 21-year-old looks a strong first goalscorer bet at 11/2 (6.50), not to mention 17/10 (2.70)anytime.

Another player loving life under the interim manager is Paul Pogba, who also offers plenty of temptation at 17/10 (2.70) to score his ninth goal in nine league games - especially considering he will be on penalty duty.

Romelu Lukaku has not found the net since the beginning of January, but is also available at those same 17/10 (2.70) to come up with a timely goal against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
