Time for Real Madrid fans to stop booing Bale

The Welsh winger bagged a goal and an assist at Dortmund in a performance that shows he still has much to offer for Los Blancos.
It is time to stop booing Gareth Bale. The 28-year-old has been harshly criticised by the media in Spain this season and also jeered by fans at the Santiago Bernabeu. But enough is enough.

Away to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night, the former Tottenham midfielder showed that he still has plenty to offer. When he is given space to attack, there are few better players in the world. Perhaps none.

The Welsh winger said being whistled at by fans "happens in football" as he preferred to focus on his performances

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale labelled the whistles he has received from his own fans as normal after returning to goalscoring form.

Bale has been booed and whistled at by Madrid fans unhappy with the Wales international's performances this season.
